South Shore Reindeer Quest - World's End

Herds of hearty reindeer will be visiting South Shore Trustees reservations this winter. Grab your hiking boots, snowshoes or cross-country skis and get the family outside for this special South Shore Reindeer Quest! This self-guided scavenger hunt encourages visitors to scour the trails for herds of handmade, wooden reindeer.
HATCHED - a Multi-Sensory Winter Illumination Experience at the DCR Hatch Shell

Hatched is free and open to the public, taking place nightly from January 22 – February 21, 2021. Viewers will be able to tune in to the original synchronized soundtrack on their personal devices while watching the illuminations. The work, made possible by collaborations with LuminArtz and projector sponsor Epson, will begin nightly at 5pm and re-start every 20 minutes until 9pm ET, offering over 300 opportunities to enjoy the work in the open-air landscape of the historic Hatch Shell Oval Lawn.
Yeti, Set, Go!
Tower Hill Botanic Garden

Join the yeti scavenger hunt through January 31. There are 15 fun, furry friends scattered throughout the formal gardens. Enjoy a safe winter walk through the grounds and see how many brightly colored life sized yetis you can find. Pre-purchased tickets are required for entry and include access to our Garden Shop, conservatory greenhouses, and cafe on the weekends.
Festival of Lights 2020

Through February 28, 2021, light sculptures and installations will be on view in Worcester’s Downtown and Main South neighborhoods. Displays will be illuminated after sundown each evening. Main South installations will feature light sculptures by local artists at key nodes and participating businesses. Downtown lighting elements will include a crescendo of multicolored snowflakes on Mercantile Center, as well as LED snowflakes in windows of businesses, crafted by Technocopia member Carlos Torres. Creative Hub Worcester will install a large, backlit mural on the windows of 554 Main St. On the Worcester Common, Tower Hill Botanic Garden has created an illuminated rainbow tunnel over 200 feet long, which celebrates Worcester’s inclusivity and will illuminate the Common in conjunction with 3D geometric light sculptures by Ivy Orth, head designer of LunoSol. Remember to enjoy these displays safely, including wearing a mask when in public, clean your hands and devices frequently, and maintain physical distance from others when possible.
