Join us for Feb Fest, our annual celebration of National Engineers Week, during February school vacation, with daily hands-on activities, workshops, and more.  This year's theme is Assembly Required. For a quick view of daily activities with times, visit the Museum calendar. Our very popular workshops will be held Tuesday – Friday. Pre-registration is required and will open on January 16. Please note that students may attend a maximum of two workshop days. Kicking off the week on Monday, drop-in and create a unique chain reaction contraption at How to Build a Better Mouse Trap. Visitors will work in teams to design and build a contraption with the aim of trapping a toy mouse in a very elaborate way.
Among the attractions will be Snowzilla, a three-story-high inflatable snow tube slide, the 15′ tall and 45′ long Toboggan Tunnel mountainous adventure with twin roller lanes, and the Snow Mazing maze. In addition, the Highland Street Foundation is sponsoring a week-long Winter Camp at the Boston Common Frog Pond with free skating and rentals for all ages from Monday, February 20, through Friday, February 24.

at the Hancock/Adams GreenMonday, February 20, 2017 4 PM to 7 PM The City of Presidents will be celebrating the first annual Presidents Day Winter Festival, a free event for the whole family on Monday, February 20th, from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Hancock Adams Green, City Hall. The free festival will include, Massachusetts National Guard Quintet, teen pop group 3D, a 35 foot inflatable snow slide for the kids, fire breathing performance and stilt walking, a mobile video gaming truck, a marionette show, a green screen photo booth, live entertainment inside and outside, Old City Hall and Church of the Presidents guided tours with costumed re-enactors and more. All attractions and entertainment are free (restaurants excluded).
