I was invited to a Media preview of this year’s all-new show, METAMORPHOSIS. My husband, six-year-old son, and I all piled in the big top for our first Big Apple Circus experience.
We were all spellbound for the entire performance. My very active little guy had no trouble sitting still through the whole show.
The show, which can take upwards of 2 years to develop and perfect, includes flyers on the trapeze, an aerial space-age acrobatic adventure, and an animal act that thrilled my guy.
Paris-born Francesco the Clown provides lots of amusements and involves the audience in hijinx including bringing a few unsuspecting folks down into the ring. The Ringmaster, John Kennedy Kane, was also a fave. My son LOVED “the boss” of the circus.
Tons of other acts including amazing magic acts, juggling, balancing acts, and some crazy contortions!
One of the first things that will strike you is the fact that this big top feels very intimate. In fact, no seat is less than 50 feet from the center of the ring. It’s amazing!
