On Saturday, May 21, the annual Radio 92.9 EarthFest event will feature a very special area just for kids – Kid’s Planet.  Kid’s Planet, an interactive family area will open at 10:00 a.m.   The area will feature kid-friendly environmental activities, educational displays, musical performances and much more.  The MBTA will have a mini-bus on site for photos with the kids.  Wally the Green Monster is expected to make an appearance.  Whole Foods will be offering face painting, Community Boating will be teaching knot tying and the Boston Breakers will be onsite.  All in all, a great day for the family – and to make it all better, it is all free.

Radio 92.9’s EarthFest is produced in conjunction with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. The DCR’s Hatch Memorial Shell and surrounding Esplanade area is a renowned venue for free events and programs in the City of Boston.  The Radio 92.9 EarthFest  is the first major event of the season and the largest free radio station concert in the country.

The 18th Annual Radio 92.9 EarthFest is accessible by MBTA. Concertgoers can take the Green Line to Arlington Street or take the Red Line to Charles Street / MGH. For more details, visit the MBTA website at www.mbta.com.
