A few weeks ago, we were invited to check out the new family-style dining at the Jerry Remy’s Sports Bar and Grill in the Fenway area. Unfortunately, at the last minute, my daughter got sick, so we had to reschedule to this past weekend. We missed some of the other mom bloggers, but did still get to check out the fabulous food.
The family-style Sunday dinner is available every Sunday (with the exception of Sundays where the Patriots play at night) at the Fenway location only. Reservations are required, and you must have at least four in your party. We were seated at a wonderful semi-circle booth (which the kids loved) with a view of all of the huge televisions (which my husband loved).
While the menu does change on a weekly basis, we received rolls, Caesar salad, turkey tips, garlic mashed potatoes, meatloaf, pasta Alfredo, and seasonal vegetables as our meal. The portions were extremely generous – more than enough to fill up my family of four and give us leftovers to take home. The food was delicious too – my kids and husband absolutely loved the turkey tips, while I preferred the pasta Alfredo (although I loved everything).
My daughter has a tree nut allergy, and Jerry Remy’s Sports Bar and Grill was very accommodating. They were able to swap out one item that included nuts, and were quick to assure me that the other items were safe.
Finally, when we were completely stuffed, we received a platter of delicious chocolate chip cookies and cups of milk – the perfect dessert!
The family-style meal is only available on Sundays and is $14.95 for adults and $7.95 for children. If you can’t make it to Jerry Remy’s on a Sunday, they do have other family promotions – including free meals for kids under 12 off of the Kid’s Menu from 4pm-7pm each weekday (Fenway location only). On street or paid lot parking is generally available right near the restaurant. My husband, who is becoming quite a beer snob, was impressed with the beer selection, making this an appealing spot for the beer lover in your family.
