This summer, Healthy Habits Kitchen (www.healthyhabitskitchen.com), a company dedicated to helping busy families eat healthy, has created a Healthy Kids Cooking Camp.

Every Monday starting July 19 from 9-11 am and 3-5 pm, parents can help their children overcome boredom and brain drain by taking part in the Camp. Open to children aged five and up, the camp is an activity that enables a parent and child to work together to assemble their families meal kits for the week while learning how to identify ingredients, about health and nutrition and the basics of meal planning.

Kids can create their own original meal kit that they can call their own, as well as options from the company’s kid-friendly menu, such as Ginger Coconut Chicken Nuggets, Fish Tacos, Pretzel Crusted Chicken and Sloppy Joes. In total, 11 different menu options are available.

Healthy Habits Kitchen creates and sells healthy meal kits for families that contain everything that is needed to cook a nutritionally balanced meal easily in less than 30 minutes. The kits contain ingredients like pre-chopped vegetables and fruit, a protein, sauce and spices, depending upon the recipe. Individuals follow the directions on the box, making dinner entrees like Cranberry Salsa Chicken, South of the Border Meatloaf and Tomato BBQ Chicken.

All Camp participants must make an appointment in advance and assemble a minimum of four meal kits. For more information or to make an appointment, visit www.healthyhabitskitchen.com or call (781) 235-6325.
